So today I discovered...
That I am pretty decent at free-handing my drawings, rather than gridding photos and then transferring. And I can draw faster by free-handing than I can using a grid. I'm almost done with a project, and I just started it two days ago. Normally my quota is one project per week. Lol.

I never liked gridding drawings. I always either use freehand, or use a lightbox for the main parts and detail by hand.

Hrm, I grid...then I use a lightbox to transfer my gridded sketch to a thicker sheet of paper and then work from there. I do all detail by hand. Normally I use a grid to transfer a small picture to a larger scale. Like, an 8x10 picture to a 16x20 sheet of paper.
