Mexico Vs. South Africa
Who's gonna win? Cast your vote, and give a reason why! :P

I personally think Mexico's gonna win, since they have a much more solid team and have been playing incredibly good recently (They beat Italy "A.K.A. - The World Champions" recently). However, It's gonna be tough, seeing as to how no "Host" has ever lost their first match. So we'll see.

South Africa- I played the game.

South Africa hasn't hosted before and the effort involved in building the stadiums and renovating the land isn't about to go unrewarded. The players will be pushed very hard to win by both their government, coaches, and personal reasons. This is a developing country's chance to shine. Mexico will be hard pressed to deal with that. Mexico will literally need to be several times better skill and team wise to overcome, I think.

Half-Time. Looks to be in Mexico's favour right now. They've had several shots at goal, and they've had possession of the ball for well over 3/4's of the game so far. We just need to score :D.

Well, they tied, but I honestly feel that Mexico deserved to win, we had too many shots for goal and nuffin. But then again, You can only expect so much under such pressure.

You should win cause you had a bunch of chances and failed?
Naw, tough cookies man.
There was no way S. Africa was gonna lose out right. Way too much riding on it in terms of the politics internally and externally.

Honestly, Mexico played much better than South Africa, and it's not just me saying that, you can check any sports network as well. However, you have to accept the fact that Mexico was under a hell of a lot of negative pressure, since if they won they'd pretty much be hated like hell, since no host team has ever lost their first match. But sure, if the goals don't go in, there's not much you can say about it.

Neither .

Didn't Mexico had like two shot that didn't count?

Yep, i'm not sure if it was 1 or 2 goals that actually went into the net that didn't count. But yeah. Anyways, new thread time. :p

1st day of the World Cup: disappointing.
Let's wait for tomorrow to see S. Korea and Greece tie and Argentina and England kick Nigerian and American asses.
(kind of doubting Argentina will win though)
