I dunno, I take it once every 24 hours. My mom carries them around with her because If someone sees them apparantly they are worth alot of money. She doesnt want any trouble.

Aw, but I'll show you mine if you show my yours! XD, jk, you dont have to if it makes you feel uncomfortable. All my friends kept asking me to show em my appendix scar after too, XD it was actually kinda funny.
As for the pain, you're gonna feel a bit of residual pains and soreness while the stitches heal up, but you should feel less pain in a week or so. The meds help too. ^^ but dont strain yourself.
