Tracking computers?

Is this possible, someone stole my macbook on friday april 9th between 3:10 and 4:15 pm after school. Is there any way I could track the location of the mac through the serial number or something of that matter?

Yeah, doesn't really help considering I made my laptop be as untrackable as I could for hacking paypals and stuff.

IP tracing isn't hard they can do it with in like 30 feet of you. Any thing you did is most likely feeble and meaningless if you get a pro program/person to do it.

That sucks dude, why was your macbook laying around anyway? are you in college or what? where was your laptop located before it was lost?
