This is Why I Protest

This is Cpl. Jason Dunham. He died in Falluja during a standard patrol. His fire team recieved contact and immediately 2 of his fire team members sustained injuries. the small arms fire stopped, and a frag grenade landed next to Cpl. Dunham. Cpl. Dunham ripped his kevlar off of his head and covered the grenade telling his Marines to get down. He recieved the full blast. He recieved mortal injuries from shrapnel and damage from the blast. His last promise was to make it home to his mother again. He died 34 hours later in the arms of his mother. His last words were, "I made it home mom."

All three of these Marines died because they didn't want to leave one fallen brother behind.

YouTube - Daddy I miss you - Heaven 911- It's been 7 years later Daddy!

The little girl in that video (the audio), her father died in 9/11. She will grow up knowing her father died as an innocent man just doing his job.

So before you say that fighting this war is stupid or the reason behind it is shitty, look to those that suffer, and continue to suffer for their innocence, not the corrupted with views of those that are tainted.

Their is reason to this war, and it is to protect the innocent from such utter pain.

I fight this war to protect those that I love. I fight to protect those that matter to me. My family (LG and actual), my friends (fellow Marines, LG), and my loved ones (LG and my soon-to-be wife). I fight for you, and for all those that don't believe. And those that don't believe, you are sad individuals indeed to not show love and compassion for those that are willing to die for you and those that are dying for you.

Always remember LG, always remember.

Many little girls in this country, their fathers died in Afghanistan and Iraq. They will grow up knowing their fathers died in a war that we didn't need to be in, and that their fathers would be alive if it weren't for this war.

So before you say that opposing this war is stupid or the reason behind it is shitty, look to those that suffer, and continue to suffer.

Their is no reason to this war. We can't undo what's already been done. We can't bring back those that died on 9/11. Killing the head of an organization of any sort has never destroyed the organization. Killing Osama bin Laden or Mullah Omar will not stop al-Qaeda or the Taliban, any more than the JFK or Lincoln assassination stopped America. It just makes us feel a little better. But at what cost? The lives of 4,351 US soldiers, 179 UK soldiers, and 139 soldiers from other countries? The injury of 31,536 US soldiers and 1,785 UK soldiers? The suffering of their families? 2,976 died on the day of 9/11. 4,669 died by our choice afterwards. 33,321 were wounded by our choice afterwards.

I protest this war to protect those that I love. I protest to protect those that matter to me. My family (LG and actual), my friends (fellow Marines, LG), and my loved ones (LG and my not-so-soon-to-be wife). I protest for you, and for all those that believe. And those that believe, you are sad individuals indeed to not show love and compassion for those that are willing to die for you and those that are dying for you.

They would be alive, if we weren't in this war.

When will we end this suffering?

I was actually going to scream at you if you posted 50-cent's song, This is why I'm hot.
#3
I don't have that little taste. I originally posted this as a reply to the other topic, but since it's so long and thought-filled, I figured I'd give it it's own.
#4
LOL!
You should of done that Torian.

That's what went running through my mind.
#6
Someone should still do it..
#7
Fine. I took (Pun) out the title, so hopefully ya'll will stop thinking that.

But yeah, good post nonetheless. It just sucks that people have war ingrained so deep under their skin that nothing will change the way they are. They'll continue wearing "I'm in the navy thus I am superior to you" like badges on their uniform. They'll continue bombing and shooting at the opposing sides because they think it's making actual progress. War is an unending cycle, making use of resources that could be used for more important things like Iunno, improving the way of life? Shifting the scientists developing new ways to kill man to something a bit more useful? I always think that saving a life is much more valuable than taking one.

the thing is. we keep fighting more keep dieing so it will not end and only more and more people will suffer.
#11
Thus the point of this thread \o/

I honestly think war needs to exist. (:
Then again, I am a war junkie.

In order to keep a civilization growing, you need war.
If no one opposed your values, and if you didn't oppose anyone elses, what would there be to do?
Just masturbate a shitstorm like /b/ ?

People stop dying when justice is severed and not before.

Oh, right. The point of living is killing. God forbid we be bored instead of murderers.

God forbid the liberals grew a back bone, committed to something so we could get it over with quickly rather than protest and draw everything out.
#18
God forbid the conservatives learned to care about anyone other than themselves, committed to life instead of death so that we could live happily and peacefully rather than kill thousands of our own civilians and cause great suffering to their families.

In other words defy human nature and be destroyed by the rest of the world. There is no peace, only the defeat or intimidation of everyone else around you and the forcing of your agenda on them otherwise they force theirs' on you.
#20
I like pie.

On a diff note> Yes, some kids do grow up without a parent or whatever the case may be, but we cant do anything, So what's the point?

Ethan, you're my friend and I think you're awesome...
But until you've actually been in a war I don't think you'll have a real concept as to what the fuck goes on. It's not like the MW2 and COD you play if that's what you're basing your ideas off of. Not that I'm have any place to talk since I've never been in war myself. My uncle and my cousin are marines. :'x

Oh you know it! Just like when you get shot, you just have hide. You'll be healthy again in less than a minute!

or you could use aimbot and wall hacks

That's for newbs. Real haxxors just alter their variables to increase their max_life. War is EZ.

they need bypasses or they might get hit with a ban hammer
#35
No, we're talking about IRL war. Nobody gets ban hammered in IRL war. VAC security is off.
