Let's hope so. I can understand being a fan of Windows. But pc hardware is rubbish. Apple makes the most solid computers I have ever used.

Pc hardware is rubbish? Really?

A mac is build on PC hardware. Macs used to be completely independent, hardware wise, but now its just the operating system.

Ok then, let's compare the 2.

Mac - Made out of metal. Is so perfectly designed it has no need for a fan. And is completely silent.

Pc - Made out of plastic. And requires at least one fan. But on average they have 2. Because the manufacturer does not put nearly as much thought into their product as Apple does.

A 2010 mac

A 2010 HP

And a 2010 Dell

Two fans on the back there.

And argument between a PC and a Mac is not about hardware. It is all about the operating system. The hardware is identical.

PS - My PC is solid metal. Try again.

I am saying that most PCs are plastic. And I am talking about the hardware not software. My point is that Apple made computers last longer. And those are not fans in the back. They are air vents.

Sorry Nubs try again thats my computer. Only 1 fan on it which is the motherboard fan -_- never has crashed and is completely silent Macs are rubbish. Microsoft will PWN anything thats steps in the way (OPERATING SYSTEM WISE) its completely metal except the front case there which is a hard plastic that cannot be corrupted by a baseball bat -_-

#14
Solution I have a mac just eat it (Macintosh apple)
#15
YOU.
ARE.
FUCKING.
RETARDED.

MAYBE Apple makes their Macs to be more durable. But what defines a Mac is NOT the hardware. It is the operating system. If I had the money, I could make a PC that outperforms a mac by a tenfold, is made of solid metal, runs completely silent, etc etc etc. Its all manufacturer based. There are atleast ten companies that make PCs just as high quality as Macs.

Let me know if it is still running in 30 years.

Macs sucks balls PC's and Windows OS's pwn.

Macs run for 30 years? Really?
Where is your proof?
#19
exactly what im saying smithno Mac's SUCKS BALLS wheres your proof that it will run longer? it doesnt matter if they are on all day it matters if you can actually take care of them. If i Hit my computer with a baseball bat and hit a mac with a baseball bat it will do the same amount of damage. Lets see which one will last longer. LMAO! theres no telling which one will last longer. it just matters if you take care of them.

Get the fuck out, newfag.

Macs: more stable, less user friendly, more high tech

Windows: user friendly, slightly unstable, large range of capability

Debating is pointless, they're very different machines.
#21
Also, as far as the "running for 30 years" thing... I have an original Compaq Portable Computer in my closet that, in two years, will have run for 30 years.

Oh my, just read the rest of the thread. This is turning into a huge fight. I'm getting out of this thread before things get worse.

Most mac computers from the 1980-1990 are still running today.

Smithno Good Luck and i hope it will.

and kain GTFO you noob why would you call somone a NEWFAG when they've been on here longer than you, Can code, Make FLPS, and Has more rep than you GTFO your not in this conversation for debate

This kinda looks like my old computer. My dad had along time ago.
Its in the basement and is still running actually just really slow...

THIS IS NOT THE Exact same time of computer my dad has infacts its not even my computer. its a pic i find off of google that looks like mine and BTW YES MINE STILL RUNS IM NOT SURE ABOUT THERES...
AND NO its not the computer im using right now.
#24
Thomas, not every mac that has ever been created still runs.
And not every PC ever created still runs.
Only the ones that have been well cared for.

Oh noes, you've been on a forum longer than me!
I've been on computers since I was three, I've used both Mac and PC, and have no preference, other than for the fact that PC is more commonly designed for.

Your skills have nothing to do with your flawed observation skills towards computers.
#26
I actually agree with Kain here. Tembila, your arguments have sucked. I have been trying to point out that the argument between Macs and PCs is OS design and nothing but that, and you bring it back to your baseball bat.
#27
Smithno... LMAO I WAS SAYING AND ARGUING with somone else and i also agree with THE OS thats what im trying to get through the design doesnt matter. THE OS system matters. i can be playing on a Gay 70's computer with a Good OS system and it would be "ICY" and smooth running.

BAD EXAMPLE: OH NOES IT HAS 7 FANS AND 500,000 RAM OMG'Z EPICS!

GOOD EXAMPLE: OH YESSUM THIS HAS A GOOD OPERATING SYSTEM.

And I explained that both OS are designed to accomplish different things, and comparing them is like comparing guitars and cake.

The problem is that you actually have a mac.
Switch it out for a computer and you'll be all set

Just take a hammer to the damn thing. It'll be in better condition than it would be if it was brand new.

You have to tell us what is wrong if you want us to fix it.

what isn't wrong with it? o.O It's a mac. Isn't that bad enough?
#40
k enough
lately, when playing games on my mac, it would get laggy fast, like i'd need to quit or force quit. then when i boot up my mac i get the flashing folder with the question mark inside. I'd need to wait for 30 min - 1 hour with my mac off in order for it to boot normally, how2fix.
