So my pc got a fatal error and crashed, i was forced to reinstall OS by my dad who just didnt know how to deal with that. Well i selected the same partition and installed it there w/o formatting it used to be XP Pro now it has XP Home on the same partition. Either way, how can i get to the files that were on there before?
Search for Windows.Old
If it isn't there, they're gone.
It will be a folder.
Use the convenient little search thing (Start Menu > Search > all Files) and search for Windows.Old
Well i looked no results to display but i found my old program fiels and what not,but the old desktop folder doesnt show any files or foders,just some icons. I wanna know how to get back all my stuff Dx

There isnt even a folder named windows.old and everything that was outside of "my documents" and "desktop" is still intact. I lost 2yrs worth of drawings

I recovered all 108GB of data i lost.
Its mostly my drawings and stuff, now im gonna buy another hardrive, back this shit up and reinstall eferything to new.
