first person to help gets all my lg.
im not asking you to do them for me (unless you want to ;) just asking for help. yes i'm a redneck hick who is for some reason or another taking a college physics class and i have no clue how to do this shit.

tank I is full. it is 12 feet high. it is leaking at 1/2 foot per hour.

tank II is empty. is 12 feet high. it is filling at 1/5 foot per hour.

1). write the relationship between time and height for TANK I.
2). when will TANK I be empty?
3). How high will the contents of TANK I be after 5 hours
4). Write the relationship between time and height for TANK II.
5). How long will it take to fill TANK II?
6). When will the contents of TANK II be 10 feet?
7). When will TANK I and TANK II have the same height and what will that height be?

I guess you should've paid attention in class

i wasn't in class to pay attention.

This is college? I just finished doing this stuff 2 weeks ago... I'm in grade 9. o:

I'll try it. Can't guarantee it'll be right.

EDIT: Are you dealing with variables? If you are...

1) 12-1/2x [x=number of hours]
2) 24 hours
3) 2.5 Feet
4) 1/5x=12

Don't know the rest. ;w;[/x]

This is for a college-level class? I don't want to sound arrogant, but that seems really easy.
#13
its just a junior college pre requisite class. pretty basic stuff. don't start hard stuff till next semester.
#14
@Jdawg: Wooowww, thanks. :D

I got kind of lost using fractions since I didn't have my scientific calculator. @.@ So I just used one off the internet.

Not even close to college level. I assume he's taking it in high school.

Also, this isn't even Physics. This is geometry, if even that. It may very well just be algebra (I didn't read into each problem).

So... lol. Basic algebra =/= college level physics.
I can't wait till the class really starts and he's working on the gravity of orbitals.

its physics. and i've done that. i can do pretty damn much any physics problem. i was just lazy today. and your right, this isn't a physics problem. i wondered why it was in this class myself. i'm glad your psychic though. we need one of those around here. when is the world gonna end all knowing mighty god man? seriously...is it lonely on your pedestal?

The world will end with the sun becomes a supernova, dumbass. You'd know that if you knew anything about basic algebra.
#19
ah of course of course...theres no chance of a giant asteroid killing us, or the earth getting sucked into a black hole. or the earth just dying. its 100 percent for a fact gonna be when the sun supernovas.

There are no blackholes close enough to us to even pose a slight threat.

The earth wouldn't just 'die'.

An asteroid would kill most life, not end the world.

i was being sarcastic. i know how the world is gonna end. just not when. and it don't got nothing to do with a supernova. although the sun does play apart.

As the sun dies, it expands.
It would eventually (based on estimations) gobble up the first two closest planets.

We would be boiled alive.

TADA.

also: Gtfo of physics if you believe in 2012, the Mayans knew they weren't gonna live that long, so they didn't continue the calendar.

2012? no. i was going towards the christian theory. =O SURPRISE! now shun me for being christian.
