Stupid question...
How do you make a hard drive a backup? Like, I have a hard drive in the computer, I was wondering how to make a second just as a backup to take out when I put movies and shit on it. :|

Windows XP Media Center PC.

o.O Well I sure as hell hope so.

What you're thinking of would be either:

A. An External Harddrive
B. A Thumb Drive

Aside from your C: drive, the only other harddrive that would be on ther eis the Factory Image drive, which I dont' think really should be taken out for any reason >.>

Are you wanting to have a full backup of everything on your main drive? Or do you just want to have movies, games, pictures, music, etc on it?

If you want to have a backup of your whole system then use Macrium reflect.

If you want to only backup a few folders to take to a friends house or something then drag and dropping would probably be the best option.
