Yep...I got side tracked learning the solo cause I'm trying to get a band started and work on writing (a) song(s). The whole song is pretty easy.

Cool. I've been playing with mine and messing with my pickups and set up to try and get a sound more similar to the one Slash has in By The Sword since its a good lead tone. I'm getting pretty close.

My guitar (the one that's tuned) has no pick-up switch, so i'm stuck with a mid-tone until I get my Ibanez tuned.

Only tone i've been able to get that I recognize is the tone that Sabbath uses in Paranoid.

I seldom use the pick up toggle except in songs like By The Sword where you have clean parts and even then I'd rather just hit a compressor and leave it on the bass pickup.
You have tone nobs on there, reel the treble back and see how that hits ya'. Its called the "woman" tone. Clapton uses it a lot.

Aka the gain jacked up, lol.

Hey, have you ever changed a pickup? I'm thinking about buying the new Duncan Pearly Gates and putting them in my V but I don't know how much that will change the tone or how.

No, I never have.

I remember my friend putting Humbuckers in his Squire though, and it changed the tone a lot.

You said you have an Ibenez. How do you like it compared to other guitars you've played? I've never really played one but I think I'd like one or a Scheter.
Like I know Fenders have a certain sound and are bright and Gibsons have their sound and are darker from playing them but I have no clue about Ibenez aside from Satch and Vai playing them.

Everyone says that. They must focus on the neck on all the models unlike Fender and Gibson. If you pick up a "real"(expensive) one of them then you feel amazing to play.

My only issue with it, is the floating bridge.
It's a real bitch to tune.

Yep. Any thing that floats makes tuning a bitch. Like I want a guitar with a whammy. bigsbys look so cool but they kill your tuning
