i bought the 3rd gen ipos touch. and i want to jailbreak it. but i don't want a tethered jailbreak. any other ways?

Okay what firmware is it? Go to Settings>General>About and tell me what Firmware your on.

tethered means that if i jailbreak it if it dies a ihave to run stupid blackra1n program to be able to turn my touch on again. every time. im not dealing with that. i will just go and get a 2nd gen if there is no other way. i dont mind having two ipods lol.

Use blackra1n, they have a tether jailbreak and one that doesn't require tether, too lazy to find though.
