Newegg.ca - AVerMedia AVerTV Hybrid Volar Max MTVHBVMXR USB 2.0 Interface - TV Tuners & Video Devices
Basically a TV tuner.
Will this basically pick up all the TV channels my TV can pick up?
Because my parents are switching to basic cable and I'm like, fuck that.

It will pick up all the channels coming through the cable you plug in.
So if your parents switch to basic, you get basic.

It says it's for on-the-road, so I think you don't need to insert wires. :/

On the road, hook up the antenna to it. Get shitty cable.
At home, hook up cable tv to it. Get shitty cable.

As always, they boast. Seems sucky though. And there's always Internet for TV..
