Just installed VMWare

And next, I"m goin' to run Windows 7 on my laptop...for free! I'm a fuckin' gangsta. >.> Oh wells, I'll wait for it to finish downloading, and install it when I wake up.

Eh, VMWare is the only one I know of...I can search for a Virtual Box warez though.

Virtualbox is free. And you can run Compiz in Linux. And not to mention the interface that is 5x better then the one on Vmware.

You can if it is the Hackintosh version of 10.6.

Fuck. See, I've been debating shit for awhile. Go ahead and buy a MacBook, or buy a Sony VAIO with pre-installed of Windows 7 and run Snow Leopard in a virtual machine (gotta have GarageBand!

If you run it in a virtual machine it will be unusable with Garage band. Just go ahead and get the Macbook. If you wish to run Hackintosh on the laptop directly then let me know and I can code you some graphics drivers.

Haha, aight. So you say...no MacBook if I don't want GarageBand, but Sony Vaio?

It all depends on which one I can upgrade more for cheap. RAM wise.

Why not just burn the .iso to a disc and install (or dual-boot) it like that?

That doesn't make any sense. To run it in VMware or anything, you still need the ISO on your PC.

He could just upgrade from Vista, or format the HD and install 7 like that (depending on which OS he has).

Lol, I love XP but I would keep WIndows 7 as my main OS and probably use Snow Leopard as backup.

Then format your Xp partition and install Windows 7 on it. Then install a Hackintosh version of 10.6 with the Chameleon v2 boot loader.
