Whoever finds me a good topic for this research paper, and a few good sources.

The topic has to be in a specific time frame and place. It can range from 1066-1820. It has to take place in the british isles, either England, Ireland, Wales, or Scotland.
The topic has a maximum span of TWO decades (20 years)
I need THREE people or major events from that time period and area. For example, maybe an architect, ruler, and inventor, or some battles, advancements in healthcare, etc.

I also need to compare this timeframe to a timeframe somewhere else in the world. I need 3 events, corresponding to the first ones chosen (For example, an author matched to an author from somewhere else)
All three alternate topics have to be from the same, specific area.

I also need several sources to start off my research. I'll be back in half an hour to see if anyone has anything.

This. I liked the women who killed her husband for power, but I can't seem to remember her name.
#9
Well, Im sure the essay will include atleast one king, but which, and what other info is what I need.

75k to anyone who gets me 3 topics from the caroline era, 3 topics from somewhere else to compare to, and 3 good sources.

Your teacher is an idiot and doesn't understand how essays work.

"Here's a ball of trash and random shit. Turn it into a research essay. Make it about cats, America, slavery, outer space, bubbles, and your opinion on the best brand of potato chip."

Tell him to lern2englishClass.

Yes I get that, yet you're writing history related CC essays?
#18
I think its primarily to practice writing, and to get to know some of the history behind what we are reading. We just finished reading Beowulf.
#19
Goin to bed. I want a topic tomorrow morning damnit!
#20
Nobody wants 75k lg, what a shame.
#22
And I thought my English teacher was bad... This, is just a failure. How is this even a research paper? All it's going to end up being is everyone copying from Wiki...

Find three good ones that have a decent amount of info on them, and another area of the same time period with three similar topics, and the 75k is yours.

Are the ones I gave you not substantial? OH I see, you're comparing too era's?

Tell me if i'm correct.
#25
No, just find the three specific topics within that article which would be best to write a paper on. Then find three topics from the SAME era, but a different part of the world, that can be compared.

And to the people who say this is a CC... Not really.
"Fourth, you have an additional part of research although this part is less important and secondary to the part above. To correspond with the three events you have chosen, locate contemporary events or people from a place other than the British Isles. For example, if Dante and his masterpiece, The Divine Comedy, were written within your chosen time frame, you might use him in the same paragraph you write about an author from your chosen region. (Blah blah blah, later...) -as well as give minimal information about the same time in another place.

All sources also require a specific author - Wikipedia and other wikis are out.

The Carolingian Empire
This site has a lot of stuff about it^^

Site about the art:
Carolingian art - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Site about the fall of the Carolingian era
The Fall of the Carolingian Empire| Lectures in Medieval History

This was during the Middle Ages aka medieval times
You could compare it to:
Western Roman Empire:
The Economic History of the Western Roman Empire: The Invasion of the Western Roman Empire by Barbarian Tribes
^^Talks about economics

Byzantine Empire
Byzantine Art
^^talks about the art, which you could relate to the Carolingian era.

Medieval Weapons
Middle Ages Weapons
^^Extra info about Medieval times

The Crusades
The Crusades
^^ This also happened during the Carolingian time period, mainly about christians fighting Muslims, lasted for around 300 years.

Is there any other information you need/ want?
#27
I need specific things.
Ok, so we have the caroline era.
Obviously one of the topics will be the king.
Now I need two more topics... Say, a famous artist and a famous writer.

Now I need another location... Say, France.
Now I need 3 topics that are similar, to compare to the caroline era.

And I thought my thread(s) were failures...

I give up.
Caroline era is ENGLISH
King Charles I is ENGLISH.
Joseph Scottus is SCOTTISH.
All of the topics have to be from England/britain, not ireland or scotland.
#32
Oh and also...
"Constantine V Kopronymos or Copronymus (Greek: Κωνσταντίνος Ε΄, Kōnstantinos V ), (718–September 14, 775) was Byzantine emperor from 741 to 775."
Caroline era is 1625 to 1642.

Ok, then do it yourself. If you know how to do it, then do it, I don't study this stuff. I don't know what to tell you. If you know what the topics are, then just look it up. I try to offer some sort of help that I have no idea about.

Lol, he was on MSN telling me how he's hinting shit to you and you still can't find it. He found this shit earlier, he was trying to give you the gold, you just weren't smart enough to find it.

I don't understand, if he knew, why would he bother asking?

I don't know anything about the Middle ages or the carolingian era. I googled random stuff. I was just trying to get the gold.

Oh, I never read the first post. XD

I'm in 10th grade, just turned 15. We're studying WW1.

I'm more of a math person. But I'd probably be told I wasn't good at that on here either. XD
