Tech support please?

So I started up my laptop once again, but theres a problem.
Theres no wireless network icon in my network thing.
So basically I have no internet on it.
So I was wondering if any of you know how I can have that icon there?

I tried switching the wireless switch on and off, restarting the computer, turing it off then turining it on.

I tried basically everything.

And what the fuck is a DNS?

Lol when my internet goes down. i just goto internet explorer and when it says failed to load page. click diagnose connection problems. fixes it for me most of the time.
