I need help getting my steam ID

I used this site
Steam ID Finder

and got, STEAM_0:0:46398206
How do I put that into my 'about me' section of my LG profile? when I click save it wont work.
Or else I'm just doing this all completely wrong

I'm pretty sure it's your steam user name. C: Not your actual ID number.

I tried, and when I clicked it it said error D;
I'll save it as my username and you can try, though

Oh if you're expecting it to show your user ID then be able to click it and take it to your steam it won't I'm afraid. It just lists what your steam name is. C:

Yeah I see now, the same thing happens when I click your icon

As your steam ID, you just have to put in your custom URL for steam, or URL if you don't have a custom URL. I made mine the same as my ID so it would be easier. And that way, when you put in your custom URL, it will actually take you to that person's steam profile.

For example, my custom URL is "TerrorErrorIst", the same as my actual steam name, so you can click on the steam thing and actually get to my profile.

Yeah. It's the custom URL. It's what's needed to add people. Steam makes that really confusing by having four different IDs per Steam account (Steam ID:0:##, profile link 7656##, custom URL GAMEchief/etc., and login username).

The custom URL is the only one that's really useful to the general public, though.
