Oh man, I feel for you. Are you going to replace the disc drive or buy a new one? You could always just buy a new disc drive and wait for the new Xbox before you upgrade.

Halo, Forza, Battlefield, Dark Souls, Saints Row, all of dem awesome games for me.

Mine died in the first year because of the RRoD. I probably should have claimed warranty.

If you want an old one, they're cheap. New ones are still up around $200, sucks.

My slim died on me a few weeks back :/ (Shouldn't have ever got it flashed). I was gonna just quit but I just HAVE to get a new one for Gears Judgement xD

Open up the plates and remove all the hair and dust from the fan every few months, makes it last a lot longer.

Oh man, that's why I never want to J-Tag or flash my Slim or anything. The most I would do is change the light color from green to red or something, haha. They also have some pretty good skins for it, I might get one of those and change the power button color to match it or something.

Ooh, that's a good idea, I should start doing that with my Slim. It wouldn't surprise me if my slim was loaded with dust and hair, I have two huge dogs that shed a ton. Thanks for the tip!

*cough* You cant flash a 360, You can only flash its disc drive, which would not result in an RROD, Just the inability to read discs.

Unless something has changed in the last year, the only console that can be truly flashed is the PS3

Man, the hacks for the PS3 are insane. It's so dumb that sony sued the fuck out of that firmware hacker though.

His website is still mirrored on the Deep Web, but not updated anymore. You can find all of the old hacks that sony took down still up there.
