Fuck you, Microsoft!

Discuss, has Microsoft torn you a new asshole yet?

I've still got to send mine back -.-
#2
Actually not yet, I've never gotten the red rings, but with the three Xbox's I've had I probably ruined 15 copies of COD4. Fucking ring of death on games. I mean all you have to do is gently tap the xbox and your game is toast! Btw I got an elite now! When you send it in ask for a free month of xbox live, they will probably say yes. It worked for a close friend twice.

Good luck.

Yes. :(
My video cable or something was messed up, so I could hear things, but there was no picture.
It ended up costing me $89.99.

:\

Your not the only 1 that's has suffered mate.

i remember 1 Christmas ago, i got a xbox 360, (my First Xbox 360) Off My parent's.
2 Week's In, I was Playing Perfect Dark Zero, And I Ended Up Getting The Red Ring Of Death....

Sucked So Much... Took Them Age's To Replace.
Lazy?
#5
Havent been hit by this yet 8D. Had my xbox since wut...07?
#6
Had the red ring once, sent it in took only like a week to get it replaced, got a month free for live didn't have to ask(they give it to you as an apology for the red rings), and after the red rings never got it again. None of my games have been ruined by my 360 that got the red rings i think in 2007 and the one I've had since the red rings.
#7
damn that sucks those damn rings really fuck you over
#8
Red rings of death make me laugh. I've never gotten them but all my friends have. It's like a contagious virus. One reason why I never take my xbox over to my friends. :P
#9
I've had my Xbox since the day it came out and have never had the RRoD
Might be caused to humidity of the room its in, ventilation, or just bad luck
#10
Sucks for you man, but the good news is it never happened to me. :D
#11
I don't care much for xbox but microsoft is okay :/

besides the xbox isn't mine it's my dad's.... sometimes I tell him to just forget it cuz it's cost like.... oh yeah the gas bill.... to replace and repair the thing >_<
#12
It is truely a sad day when you suffer the Red Ring... I have yet to experience it but I know I shall eventually.
#13

Last time I checked, they offer it regardless of your warranty. If they try and make me pay for this I'll blow up at them, and threaten legal action. There's no way they're forcing me to pay for their faulty product.
#21
i just paid extra for the best buy 3 year warranty

Hmmm.... Should've have thought of that when I brought my 360
But i asked them why do they have the Red Ring of Death then just acted like nobody is there

CURSE THEM!
#23
I have only had 1 red light, and that was because I took it apart and something was still loose when I put everything back.
#24
I don't know a single person in real life who has gotten the RRoD or the ring around the disc... I don't know what you guys do to your Xbox's

Possibly humidity played some part, i.e. overheating. Canada is cold, Australia is hot and humid. I don't know much about the issue to be honest.
#26
I guess, none of my friends ever move the xbox though, it sits in the tv stand or on the table or whatever, everyone has there own xbox so we dont need to re-locate.

#30

but my friend who hase had his since March just got 3 today
#31
never had the rings of death on me yet

if it does happen

i'm gonna bring it back wait for it to come back to me and sell the console to buy a ps3 :P
#32
I don't have a 360, but I did get a complete red ring around the eject button on my original 360., and a warning message on the screen in about 10 different languages. I'm surprised that the stupid thing has worked so well for as long as it did.
#33
I got the E74 error but it was a false alarm I guess, the 360's harddrive was not put properly on the Xbox 360.
#34
Mine had an internal issue. (RROD) At Christmas time (On Christmas eve) Haven't played Fallout 3 since, Put it in loaded it up, a second later I got RROD.

Cost me $90 to get fixed but strangely I got the $90 back 2 days later. Microsoft didn't want my money. XP
#35
Hmm. Well all of my friends as well as I, have gotten the red rings of death. They all played for extensive amounts of hours without turning off their Xbox. (like 10+). The next morning the red rings of death appeared.

As for me, I just forgot to shut off my xbox. xD
#36
ha, ouch. i had it the first time i plugged my xbox in. i didnt feel like waiting so i went out and bought another XD im so lazy
#37
Aw, poor arti.
Iv had my xbox since it's release date, and iv never had a problem.
#38
I really think ti has to do with heat (not humidity).

I get this info from my friend who has had an xbox since they were released, he repeaditly gets red rings, but I noticed that his rooms is boiling hot.

While my xbox has never had any problems in my room which is always cooled down to 70-65 Degrees
#39
I have already got the red ring once and that made me mad and i would have not got another one if i had not got one for free.

This. Things like having your xbox in a horribly ventilated room or having it on the carpet exponentially increases your box's chance at RRoDing.
