Nintendo 3D-DS
So it ws announced yesterday that nintendo would be releasing a new "3D DS" without the need of those stupid glasses. Not alot has been revealed, more will be told this june at E3.
So what are everyones thoughts on this will it make a good addition to the DS collection? or will it be a rip off like the DSi?

Well if it looks good, I think might be worth it, but I have a feeling the price will be outrageous. I wont be buying it anytime soon.

I'm sure you'll have to buy games that are 3-D supported. . . Who knows, maybe 5th Generation Pokemon will be 3-D . :D

That would be the sickest thing ever. I would buy it.

Yeah, I would imagine games would cost a lot more as well.

I wonder if the fact that it's 3-d will put any strain on your eyes...Maybe they'll have a suggested time for playing games, that no one will follow.

If this does come out, and if it's under 300$ I'll probably buy it. . . if a good 3D game will be released for it. @.@

Amazing idea! deserves a medal. id buy the console just for that game! :D

I liked the DSi.

OnTopic: This will probably be a big bust. If consoles aren't capable of doing it yet, why would handheld consoles be able to? I smell another Project N.A.T.A.L coming through. Longest realease of a game system ever.

consoles can though. the xbox 360 can but you have to have a 3D TV to do it.
UPDATE it will be called the 3DS (name in making).

Normally, I do not post about new consoles such as this, but as it may inevitably involve the Pokémon games, I figure I may as well update about it. The official Japanese Nintendo site has included a PDF detailling the release of a new handheld called the Nintendo 3DS. This console is set to succeed the DS and DSi and includes backwards compatibility for those systems. Nintendo states that the Nintendo 3DS is to be able to display 3D images without the need for the 3D glasses that you see in cinemas for 3D films. Nintendo is set to reveal further details in E3 in June and the handheld is set to be released within the fiscal year starting next week and ending this time next year. We'll bring more on this as it comes

I read somewhere that this technology is called stereophonic visuals or something? And the estimated cost for the 3D illusion display for the DS sized screens would be around 20$ per display, which isn't that bad.

The Pokemon Black and White will be played in Nintendo 3DS console.

i never even heard of pokemon black and white yet. lol.
I was bummed at the last pokemon game since it was essentially a remake of the last 2.
