oooh god...
If you want an EASY ASS way of spreading a scam/flp, here's how you do it.

**I'm sure most of you have already thought of this. But here's a great example of how well it works**

WHAT HAPPENED:
I was moseying on around towns for no reason aside from boredom, and this guy comes up to me.

Guy: "Hey"
Me: "yo"
Guy: "Can you donate to me?"
Me: "Sure, but only if you help me out too"
Guy: "sure thing, bro. What do you need?"
Me: "I need more members for my website."
Guy: "Sure man. Just send me the link and I'll sign up for you."
Me: "Great thanks. Send the trade and I"ll donate to you. how does 10k sound?"
Guy: "sounds great. Hey how many members do you need?"
Me: "A lot."
Guy: "Alright. :P I'll ask my friends to join too. Send the link"

[Guy sends trade]
[I send link]

So him and his friends signed up, and I now have all of their account information. (I sent them the Crying Wolf link by the way)

I tested them, and all the information is correct. I'll do it when I get home (at school right now).

Discuss: How come we try to find so many hard and complex ways to scam the fuck out of people, when it's as easy as just bribing with donations?

like a charm. ;)

Can't we also make a thread saying you'll donate if they sign up?

That's a good idea, but we still always have those overly-cautious people who scan and check everything. It's a little safer one at a time, and you don't seem as desperate than you would if you posted a topic on it, but you're absolutely right. :) It would still work.
Maybe not AS WELL, but it would work.

And they feel secure if you DO happen to send them the 10k.
Then you just take the account, plus the 10k you gave them, and more...hopefully. :)
#7
Do people actually just ask you if you can donate to them? How often does that happen?

:) which I did. And you're thinking exactly right. When you do that, they feel more secure and safe. You actually gave them waht they wanted, so now they're more vulnerable.

@Genari Ichijo: Since my avatar looks pretty rich, I get asked a lot.

LOL should work like a charm (:
gaians are Pixel-Gold freaks and always search ways to earn more gold

Ahaha! I didn't think of that! Maybe that's cause I'm slow...
I keep hearing about this "cry/ing wolf" link, will I get raged at if I ask about it?

Hmm, Ways to get people to ask you to donate... you'd need to look kind of rich. go parading around towns perhaps?

Just how many people have fallen for this...
It doesn't sound that...easy ass...

As response to the first post:

Because those who ask for donations lack the value in their accounts that rich users have.

haha. it's very "easy ass". :) Once you tell them you're going to donate, you officially have their 100$% undivided attention. This dude actually offered to show all of his friends too. :p He was in need of gold. And since I actually sent him some, he's officially my puppet.

@Neon: Crying Wolf is a new form of registry scamming that I came up with. I made a tutorial on it.

I dont believe people actually fell for this.
The signed up for the site you wanted just for 10k
I'm about to make a thread on Gaia telling people to sign up for Lockerz for 10k
#15
We keep finding complicated ways to scam because gaia keeps making it harder.
#16
Thats just awesome, XD

Nooo they wanted a donation. So I said "ok sure. Only if you help me out too"
And they agreed to help me out if I helped them out.

If you just start paying people to join your site out of the blue, it's going to raise a lot of suspicion. Besides, my site is set up so they dont' even have to put in any of their gaia information. They just do it out of instinct.

@Minora: Gaia is making it harder, yeah, but we're trying to make complex scams and flps that require shitloads of hard work just to scam one person or a group of people, while a good 85% of gaia's population is practically asking us to give them our scam (using the method I just went through today)

I'll have to try that sometime, I need to start getting accounts again. I haven't the slightest clue though as to set up a site that can record peoples logins.
#19
This actually doesn't sound like too bad of an idea man. I'm dying to try it when I find a handy FLP!!
#20
I like this. All I need now is a forum and an FLP.

Nice method of scamming ;D but may i ask you how good this technique works on gaians?
#22

amazingly well on gaians. :) This method really works ANYWHERE online that ANYBODY is asking for donations. :o

@unglaubig: I made a video tutorial on how to do this with setting up your own forum, editing html, spreading it, etc. You need to get to UG Bronze to see it though. ^^; Just register with Forumotion (forumotion.com) then make an html page on it and paste your jotform in there
