I have a Fishbot...

I have an old file called Fishbot.exe

When I opened it it says Fishbot Beta - Kitsune.

I tried it on an alt and it works. But when I went back to it the next day, it just automatically closes. I'm not sure what happened. I was looking around in the config.ini and there was a <code></code> section that had a bunch of weird characters in it and I thought that was the problem so I deleted it, but nothing was fixed...

If there is anyone (trustworthy/admin/mod) that would like to take a look at it, message me and I'll upload it.

Um. So you shouldn't have deleted that. Not sure why it closes, you could upload it for me and i'll test it.
Don't have the actual source for it anymore though, so i would have to start a new version from scratch.

There is an updated version of that bot in this forum somewhere though.

Anyway, it's because you removed the Code line in the config.ini, replace it with this: <code>AlwKq489</code>

Let me know if it fixes it.

Nope, it's still closing as soon as it opens. Not sure what's wrong. I've disabled all of my antiviruses so there's that. And was the post limit increased? I remember being able to view the other areas of the forums...

Edit: Okay, I sent it to my friend as well and it works on her computer. So it's my computer's problem. Now to figure out what is making it crash...

I have no idea what's going on for you then, you could try using the latest version i guess: release v1.3.0

OKAY! Update. idk if this was the problem but I tried to install a VM but the installer also kept closing so I ended explorer.exe process and restarted it and the installer worked. Then on a whim, I decided to try the Fishbot and it works! How it happened I legitimately have no idea. Weird...

I would say just to be safe download the latest framework off the Microsoft home page. That and check your MS Visual updates to see if they're up to date. I do know that specific MSV combinations can potentially cause errors-- I'm not fully sure what causes them nor would I know if it's necessary but it doesn't hurt to have them in advance

Annnnd onto the next day. It doesn't work again. Seriously...

And I have downloaded the .net 4.5 one and repaired it. Still nothing. Not sure how I go about check the 'MS Visual Updates' though.

Really frustrating.

It does open right? You don't get a crash message or anything?
If it opens it's more than likely not an issue with the .Net Framework
Also post your config.ini within the code tags.
