Gaia Raid
Kay guys, this isn't some shitty LOIC DDoS or some bullshit like that. This will just be straining their GSI and MySQL handling as much as humanly possible.

The tools for this will be custom-written by me (and anyone else who wants to help. I know Tree will want to make a multi-threaded version lol)

Anyone interested in doing this with me? We'd start at a predetermined time, and then just see what happens lol.

If anyone wants specifics on what we'll be attacking/what would be vulnerable in my eyes, just PM me. Also, to anyone who thinks "oh I'm too technology-stupid for this" all it will be is an .exe file that you have to run haha.

Im interested. Detail's please?

Details will be posted as soon as I gauge people's interest in this. If we have a large number of people who would be willing to help, then sure, I'll give details.

Also, this raid could possibly be brought to 4chan, because they hate Gaiafags too.
#4
Haha, sounds fun.
What could we benefit from this?
#5
i wanna keep an eye on whats happening but I can't really do anything useful

Literally nothing, but it would be funny because it could take down some of Gaia's major services for a day. If we got their SQL down, it would stop anyone from posting or literally doing anything, but that one will be a lot harder. As for GSI, though, it would be pretty easy to crash, and it would stop all of Gaia's games and stuff like that, and a fair amount of site functionality. Not a ton, though.

Like I said, all I'll need people to do is run an .exe file on the specified date to help us crash them haha.
#7
sounds good
#8
Sounds interesting and fun. You'll provide the file to run right?

Sweet! Just keep a look out for when I post the file.

Yep, don't worry about that, I've got it handled haha.
#10
I would run the exe but would any of my accounts on my ip get banned

Highly unlikely. If you're worried, I can make it automatically run through a proxy.
#13
Im down.

idk why but I laughed at this. Sorry.
#15
You do know why.
#16
Yes. Yes I do.
#17
What would crashing them do? give us time to hack into their shit and spawn shit for everyone in the game?

If you CAN do this I Will 100% join you

No, just piss some people off...
#20
You should auto-add proxy.

I'd love to participate >:)

Pretty much, this is just meant for laughs by us and rage by gaia.

Sure, I'll look into it.
#23
I'm down

Don't see the point so not really interested.

I'm sure some of their Apache and IIS servers have vulnerabilities that would allow for a single-machine denial of service anyway.

With all the new fangled denial of service attack styles out there I'm sure you could find something cooler.

Try using slow POST attacks on one machine. That normally takes down a server in a matter of minutes on a single computer even with a slow network speed on your end.

Yeah, SlowLoris can take down a server pretty fast. The difference, though, is that with SlowLoris you could only take down the smaller servers. With an attack on the main site functions like SQL and GSI, you could take down like half the site's functionality.

What's the point?

It'll come soon wait for it. o-o

Like I keep saying, it's just for fun. It's not like it requires a ton of effort, we're just killing Gaia's site for laughs. Don't you think it would be funny if we managed to take down half of Gaia's site's functionality for a day? No one could play games, post on the forums, or anything like that hahaha.

I agree, they constantly shove massive power cocks in everyone's faces and ban for no reason at all. So I'd be nice to mess with them just for some kicks :D
#30
i kind of want to do this, but i think i'll just watch it go down.
#31
if this is running through a proxy i am more then down with it ^_- just send the .exe and ill wait for your date you have in mind xP

Being butt hurt over being banned is quite hilarious.
I am all for this attack...it would give LG something to have a claim over...and bragging rights.
#33
sounds good to me.. im in for this
#34
So long as there is a proxy I'm game, I got a bunch of mules I can use.
#35
Could increase forum activity too, if people knew LG was behind it! Sadly, I'm a Mac user. :(
#36
im down
#37
I can take down Gaia for 1 hour. :)
#38
I'm down :o but yeah I agree with everybody else on that proxy feature.
#39
I've got a multi-threaded system in place with python :3

I'm all in for a little raid.
#40
Interested.
