And I guess it would come down to: is bumping spamming. I think it is (but my opinion doesn't matter.) getting your post count up isn't that hard. there is plenty to talk about.

Are you asking if you can just post "bump" 10 times? Because the answer is absolutely not. 
10 contributory posts. Doesn't matter what they are or what topic they're in. Just stimulate discussion is all that's asked.
The forums also require positive rep. Spam posts will get you negative post rep anyway, which will keep you from getting it.
So just post coherently.
