I was gonna fire up a linux box and download it to check it out, but then I noticed it's probably nothing even remotely cool, just a RAT or something

Most RATs are compiled for Windows. I doubt Linux would properly run it without some sort of compatibility layer. And even so, it would probably be stripped of some of the core functionality.

Nah, I meant download it on linux so in case it has some auto-running function it wont infect me because it would be the wrong OS haha. But yeah, not worth it anymore.
