New update - my account was banned for botting
You have a message from the Gaia Online administrator:

Terms of Service Violation - Inappropriate behavior: Botting

Terms of Service: Terms of Service | Gaia Online

Botting - Using an automated script, macro, or refreshing feature to post or surf web pages in order to generate Gold is forbidden. The use of any software or codes to generate Gold or items without the need for you being in front of your computer is generally considered to be botting.

Wow. I guess slots bot IS monitored. I botted VERY scarcely too, that's bullshit. Might have been the dumpster dive bot as well.

P.S.

Good news, everyone! I know how to transfer hacked gold without getting banned

How long did you bot for?

Not very. I just played alot while exchanging, and I think the dumpster dive bot going off every 5 minutes was what gave it off.
#4
Oh hey look. Mine finally banned too. Whatdyaknow.

Though it took them two weeks and me openly discussing it here.

I wonder if they started monitoring here again or if they just only check for botters periodically.

Explain.

P.S. This is a cool feature GAME. Good job.

I was going to make it a smiley but then I saw Ethan be like [person]quote[/person] and so magic coincidence, good idea.

Except for this problem I've never tested until this moment and am surprised others haven't but I will totally infract anyone for spam for doing this:

Good news, everyone!

I would happily do so in a very long, dense guide because there are a million ways to do it. However, that guide will likely be posted in the underground section when I'm not lazy, since I'll probably not be playing anymore since gaia just wasted my time making 30+m in the exchange in less than a month LOL.

No, they banned it all together. I think your slots bot is extremely detectable, they simply chose to ban all the slot bots at once. I only ran the slots bot for about 18 hours in a 2 week time span. Why it is, I'm not sure, but I believe it to be so. Wonder if the fact that is an extension or the dumpster diver aspect is what made it more noticeable. The dumpster dive dives on a refresh on a completely different page, they might notice a .000005 second correlation to dumpster diving and a refresh on a completely different page raising red flags.

All slots bots? So you were using Stapled's?

No. Correction, the slot bot that was incorporated in logical gaia. I noticed a few people talked about being banned today. It's what you call a ban-wave.

I'm sure you've heard of it, but its basically like filling a basket with a batch of flagged banned accounts, and banning them all at once.
#10
Yeah, like I said, "they just only check for botters periodically."

There is probably a stats log, which mods use to manually ban bots.

Can't do much about them checking that. Except only bot at certain hours of the day.

Or bot towns, because people commonly afk towns.

:pffftttchh: I don't use LogicalGaia's slots bot, I use Stapled's, and I'm not banned

Good news, everyone! I'm not banned!nope

Time to add a random delay.

I was telling you guys to do that from the beginning, but no one listened to me, saying that Gaia doesn't have any anti-botting stuff anymore lol.
#15
I heard a few people who bot ZOMG were banned yesterday today. Unrelated to LG.

I would like to read that guide. Also how does on get in UG? Like what are the requirements?

The requirements are just to submit content that's UG-worthy, that's it.

Once I get around to it, I will probably show you it as requested. I've just been feeling lethargic about guides since I'm technically banned and don't feel like using a new account to exchange again, despite the fact that the new account could have just as much gold as my old account -_-

It requires work and relatively expert knowledge of the game though (as a player), as well as work on your account. It is best done with two people, but I have successfully done it by myself.

Also, i have exams again on tuesday so i have to study :(

Don't give up on vending just because you got banned! That's not a good way to go about life, giving up on things just because you were knocked down once! :o

Also, looking forward to the UG release of your guide, should be cool.

I'm not giving up on vending. I'm just done playing gaia legitly lol. Getting banned (thankfully) destroys my addictions to games. Now I can properly function in an educational environment for a few days.

I feel you man, but it went kind of opposite for me. I played Gaia legit from 2006 to around 2011, which was when I got banned for attempting to phish on my main (I was an idiot). From then on I've been on my new account, and getting banned gave me a kind of "Fuck you, I have a grudge against you now" attitude about Gaia, which just fueled my desire to try to make as much money as I can to try to control portions of the market and stuff haha. It's also the reason I've searched and found exploits in Gaia, I didn't care about any of that before I got banned, but after it was a kind of "I don't care about getting banned anymore, if that's all you've got you're gonna get hit hard" type of attitude lol.

I imagine the stats are based on queries per day, not per second. A random delay will still show that a user was "supposedly" in the client all day.

It should randomly log out then, with a minimum time of playing for two hours, and max of three. Stays logged out from 10-30 minutes. Most detection software wouldn't say "He played three times today, with these different session times", only long continuous sessions or lots of exact timing (spinning the wheel every exact number of seconds or something) would set it off.
#25
I don't know why you think you know how Gaia's detection software works. Or any detection software for that matter. But logging out for 10 minutes doesn't change your queries per day count. The only thing a bot can do to circumvent that is to literally play no more than a human.

Make it legit gold.

Lol charles, I know how it works because I've talked to Gaia developers about it before. Also, I have tons of experience with the Runescape bot detection system, along with a few other games.

Question. Do you use the market technique for gold?

Also, make me an omelette?

One technique does involve the market, but it is unlikely what you're thinking of. In example, pricing a 5 mil item at 1 gold and trying to buy it fast is not the technique I use conisdering its incredible risk. The major technique I use is not a transfer of gold, but 'skimming' gold. There are several ways to transfer exorbitant amounts of gold, but they come at much higher risk, whether it is risk that you will receive the gold or risk that you will be caught receiving the gold as a hacker.

No, I'm talking about selling lower priced items for fairly high prices. Not anything like the basic starter shirt that you get when you sign up for 5m, but something like 30k. If you buy a lot of them on your legit account, and then buy them all using the hacked account, it would look fairly legitimate, and just like the hacked account was a complete idiot. Or maybe you would sell an item worth 20k on your main for 100k or something, pretending it's just a rip off trade when you're actually transferring hacked gold.

That was my method for a while, and I never got banned for it. Is your method similar? It takes a while though.

That would be one of the methods that is an idea, yes.

However, you have exercise caution, as if you aren't sell it close to LMP, then it's suspicious nonetheless. That being stated, you're onto something. That is one of the variety of ways in which money can be transferred. You know what they say though, don't put all your eggs in one basket ;)

That method would also be the least effective when hacking an active account. While it should still have low suspicion given the circumstances, unless you frame someone for the item which you purchased, the item itself becomes a liability if it stays in the inventory.

Ooh that's a good point about the least effective thing. And yeah haha, those people who sell the starter items for 3m and have their hacked accounts buy them are just idiots, they get banned so fast lol.
