Short Answers

a. How much time can you devote to moderating in a given day/week?

b. Do you have any previous moderator experience, and if so, where? Your website address, if you have one (optional, but helps us get to know you).

Short Essay Questions

1. Why do you want to be a moderator for Gaia?

2. What are some qualities of a good moderator and why?

3. What do you think you would contribute to the moderating team? What qualities and skills do you offer?

4. What do you think your number one job as a mod is?

5. What kind of experiences, if any, did you have while working in a team environment?

6. Have you ever disagreed with a moderator's action? If so, what would you have done as a moderator in that situation?

7. A friend of yours also posts on the boards and posts something just skirting the rules. You check his admin notes and discover that he's been warned repeatedly about this same issue in the past. What is your response?

8. Would you prefer to mod a forum that you spend all your time in or another forum where you aren't familiar?

9. You are moderating alone on a holiday weekend. You wake up to find a 150-page thread complaining about Gaia. How do you handle it, and why?

10. What constitutes acceptable freedom of speech and what expression requires intervention (warning, censure, more serious intervention, etc.).

If you can't pass their survey, then I don't know how you will do a good job as a moderator.
Honestly, I don't think there is a way to get accepted without answering the questions to their liking.

Never heard of this. Good luck though! :)

This.

If your stupid enough to try to bypass the survey to become a moderator, you wouldn't be a good one. Your probably also not 18+, which is required.

I was going to apply but I haven't reached 300 posts, rofl XD
#6
Where DO you apply? xD I forgot, I used to have the link saved. It was like gaiaonline.com/ufd.html or something like that

They denied me becoming a MODERATOR twice because I wasn't willing to go through the "Forum Assistant" stage.
Before you can become a moderator, you become an FA. Consider it your training.
Once you have completed your training, you will be able to become a moderator. You basically work your way up.

These threads are exactly why I kept the message in UG. nn00bville

Just like everyone else said..If you can't even understand how to answer the questions, then there's no reason for you to apply sorry to say.

It's really not that hard.
When I applied for FA they said I could have made mod with my app.
Still too bad I got banned before it was processed. ;~;
(I just wanted to clean up the AD too)
Anyways just fill it out as if you were applying for a job.
