Gaia Capatcha.
Umm Did They Take Out The Capatchas? Because My Failed Login Were Like 20 Accounts And I Didnt Get Get A Capatcha If Not Just Let Me Know =D Thank You!
#2
Im pretty sure they did. I guess people at gaia got pissed so admins took it off
#3
No they didn't.
You just got lucky with not getting a captcha is all. :]
#4
In order to prevent crackers and bruters from learning any trends such as x amount of logins before a captcha appears, they make it occur randomly.
#5
ohh. -.-
i thought they removed it.
i wish they will remove it soon.

for what? he was asking if they took it out, which i can answer now, if an account is banned, the captchas appear after 3 attempts of logging, if it is an active account the captchas appear at random. there is also the fact that it may not appear at all for some people.

but as Torian said, its at random for the most part at least.
#9
Well i guess the capatchas coming at random is better then the capatcha always there

not necessarily. there are other things that will log the account you have hacked with your IP. its usually a secondary page after a failed login. its a random thing that says you logged in wrong when you know you put the right info in.

its only a real detriment to account crackers and such. if you use other methods and disguise yourself well, it wont relly matter.

All gaia has to do is see the ip of your account, do a whois on it and see that it's one of the IPs that Hotspot shield designates, send HSS a formal email requesting access information to the designated IP between such and such time. HSS are bound by law to comply since your actions are seeing as a breaking of the ToS.

#20

#21
Damn i hate gaia too many problems I quit ...
#22
i dont think they did i think you are just lucky
#23
they did not take it out! damn, i just got it like 15 times. it is till there, and probably will be for some time. :o
#24
is it still there? I somehow don't have it anymore?
#25
Yes, They took It out finally It was getting really annoying -___-
#26
They make the captcha load up randomly so it's not as easy for people to make crackers now. I've noticed this my self. I had captcha after about 10 failed logins then it went away after 30 correct logins. It came back after 17 failed logins and went away after 3. It's all random now.
#27
thats weired. i get a captcha for every 1 or 2 wrong accounts. really annoying.
#28
Wait so is it out or not
cuz i did get a capatcha after 5 failed logins
