the rings are, but I dunno 'bout the batter, so yeah..

Looks like someone is trying to inflate. They're random drops in Daily Chance, so they'll inevitably be worth no more than 1g. Being a Daily Chance item, the supply of them is unlimited and excessively large.

Or you can just catch them in towns.
