I don't like the colors, especially the green in the background. That definitely doesn't belong there. There's some purple on his knee that looks off too. the ovarall brownish/greenish color is kind of off-putting as well.

It's a little simple, but sometimes simple can be good. Try and work the render into the background a little more next time.

I think the brownish green is what does it, like minora_kitty said.

Just makes it all looked a little more downplayed then it could be.

Maybe change up the color scheme? The actual render and effects don't look bad at all.

OP's one is better imo, this one loses all the amazing detail. But I agree bad choice in colors.

I literally copied that into photoshop and spent two seconds applying a gradient map. You think I care if it's too saturated? It's not even my work. Seems to me like you were just upset that I pointed out everything you did wrong, so you felt like you had to point out something I did wrong to make yourself feel better.

Too dark. You need to add some brightness and also the color scheme.
