If you like it a lot, they are just reinventing the story of the Seven Samurai. There is a PS2 game that is similar to the anime but not affiliated. There are a lots of movies and tv dramas and animes that tell the story a bunch of different ways and redesign the characters.

Wow, that's sweet, thanks for the links coffin. Yeah, I had started the movie about the story of the Seven Samurai before but never finished it, I think I might go watch that on Netflix now. As for the game, that's awesome!
