I'm pretty much against it. People were like "Just watch some episodes!" so I watched like five, and it just seemed like a little girl's show to me. I mean, it's target audience is like 7-12 year-old girls.
I've never watched it, but I'm not gonna belittle anyone who does. It is definitely designed for tween girls, but I've heard the concepts the show discusses are more adult. I wouldn't know, but just what I've heard. I imagine it is something along the lines of Shrek, which even though it's a children's series of movies, it is famous for being enjoyed by parents as well with subtle adult humor.
It's just hard to look at some teen boy or adult man playing with ponies
Yo Gabba Gabba is cute, but Netflix only has 39 episodes of it and spontaneously removed what happens to be my son's favourite episode ("New Friends" with Jack Black.) I just need new episodes. Oh god. Just a few more episodes. The nerd/geek/fandom references are good for me. ...The Fresh Beat Band can, however, screw right off.
He likes Dora a lot (a lot, a lot.) He hasn't tried saying any Spanish words yet.
Most children's shows are ridiculous. :/ Have you seen the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? It is so terrible.
