For me, I would have to say it's a tie between the classic Cowboy Bebop and the newer Sword Art Online.
Both series have a lot of awesome stories tied into them.
For the longest time, I was able to say .hack// was my favorite series, I loved the idea of an MMORPG anime.
Sword Art Online absolutely crushed it and I ended up watching the whole series in less than a week.
Either .//hack SIGN (that's the only .//hack I've seen) or Samurai Champloo. Its just so amazing, old school hip hop soundtrack and just a badass anime overall.

Samurai Champloo was my favorite show with samurai involved until Samurai 7 came around.
If you haven't seen Samurai 7, I suggest you hit it up.
I've seen bad anime and I've seen good anime. I don't know that I could call any one thing the best.
I also can't remember everything I've seen so that factors into my indecision.

Maybe so.
I communicate better in text or on paper than I do with spoken words so typing is liberating for me.
That also plays into the fact why I'm so into art and music. Its just more nonverbal communication.
I really need to give myself more time for Anime and relaxation and stuff, right now I go on the computer like 24/7 and am either always playing games, posting on forums, trying to learn new stuff, or programming.
I never really get a chance to relax or just watch Anime or Netflix or anything like that.
I've seen bad anime and I've seen good anime. I don't know that I could call any one thing the best.
