Adobe CS5
(I see no rules stating this thread is only for posting pictures, so I figure discussion of programs and such would also be welcome)

Anybody else extremely excited for this?

As far as photoshop goes, the new 'Content Aware' fill option will make finding bases for edits easier than ever, as well as touching up photographs.

Also, the new 'Puppet Warp', for straightening edges, and 'Edge Detection', a renderers dream, look pretty nice aswell.

And, even 3D and Bridge integration.

Here's a video of the new features, for those who haven't seen them yet: Photoshop CS5 Feature Tour - Photoshop CS5 Overview | Adobe TV

I'm excited for the new features, but I wonder how accurate content aware can really be. It seems amazing in the video, but I'm no so convinced that it will be that perfect all the time.

I do plan to get it though.

Even if it does make a few mistakes, it saves bunches of time over spot healing or clone stamping.

I'd love to get that O:

It seems like Adobe is slowly but surely eliminating any skill needed for photo editing. As for people making OC in Photoshop, I don't see many improvements that would benefit them.

OC is easier, when it's easier to find good backdrops for stuff, or remove stuff that would get in the way of any manipulations you may be planning.

I will be downloading this the second its public so as soon as it is I will make a thread for everyone who hasn't got it already.
#8
I can't wait. It looks awesome.

I can't wait till it comes out, that content aware filter is going to be really interesting. I can't help but feel though, the more adobe moves forward, less actual talent you need to create anything artistic.

That would be awesome, when is the expected release date?
#11
I don't think they confirmed a release date yet.

I think Creative Suites 5 is out already. Well the pre-release is anyway..
Going to try out the pre-release first.

Pre release is out now but I'm not going to bother with that, I'll wait till Retail is out, no point when I have a fully functional copy of CS4.

It is.

With the new flash you can now export your projects to formats that work on the iPad and iPhone.

=)
