Something I don't think I'll ever get around to finishing

This is part of an RP test that I started and I'm stuck, but I probably will get it done by the end of the day. The setting and situation was given to us so I had trk off of that.

"If I had not witnessed the death of Rodric myself, I would have taken on the childish persona he knew so well and thrown my body against his wiry frame, clinging to him like a lovesick school girl in need of his touch. I restrained myself as best as I could instead, watching the image of my departed friend closely. As much as I wanted to believe it was him, I just. . couldn't. I refused to rewire myself to think that. I'd seen his form crumple from the impact of the bullet, and yet here he stood before me. I stared at Rodric, intent on finding the source of the iron grip on my stomach."
