Numerous updates across the website
Hey guys,
Thomas and I have made numerous changes across the website. In particular:
Cleaned up member groups/admins/mods
Quite a few members have been migrated from staff positions to the new underground rank. There's no doubt our reach has declined (though we're working on reversing that trend), so we don't need as many members holding staff positions. Most of those we migrated hadn't performed a staff action for quite some time.
Redirected www -> forum
We experimented, and it failed. We really needed someone dedicated to keep the main website fresh with new content, but alas, we couldn't find anyone. It's all still there, but we're redirecting the main www to forum.
Ads removed
Pretty self explanatory. We're going to focus more on providing high quality services than monetising through ad revenue.
Consolidated underground usergroups
While I think the different UG tiers were a great idea when we were larger, now we're smaller we believe the most intelligent course of action is to consolidate them in to the one group.
Updated forums
- Added Neopets forum.
Programming team members migrated to UG rank
All but one programming team member have been migrated over to the new underground position. The programming rank didn't really hold much purpose. It was loosely structured and didn't have any clearly definable objectives. Instead, we're now going to have one central piece of software (which in turn will have a range of official and community plugins) that a central programming team is going t
rk on. We'll release more information about this shortly, but if you'd like trk on it just get in contact with me. It'll be done in Python.
