Underground Demotions

The staff and I have been talking it over and we've decided to go through and re-examine all the members in the UG. If you're not actively contributing you will be removed. We're also looking for more UG members who are willing to actively post content both in and outside of the UG sections. If you're up to the task start contributing and make an application!


Going Bankrupt

As you may have noticed, the value of LG gold has become....well...worthless. It's starting to get quite sad. So we're going to be wiping everybody's LGG amount and give everybody the same starting amount. If you don't like this idea feel free to express it by posting below. But keep in mind, if we don't do this eventually LGG will be worthless.

Current amount of gold in circulation : 95,939,769
What I'd like it to be : < 100,000

I'm hoping to get LGG on a 1:1 or at least 5:1 ratio with USD.


Anarchy! (Kinda)

Ever since I was promoted to the administrator position I've been wanting to strip down the rules on LG to allow for a more comfortable posting environment. Until now I wasn't sure how to execute the plan efficiently. Over the next few days the staff will be revising the rules to allow them to be as clear and small as possible. We'll let you know when they're complete.

The staff are also asking that you, as a member of LogicalGamers feel comfortable posting actively. From now on we will be issuing warnings first*. The consequences will alsn't be as harsh as they where. We're also asking that you treat new members with the same respect you would give a senior member until they do something to lose the trust. If you see a new member asking for help, wondering what terms are, etc explain it to them in a professional manner.

For example

New user: Huh? What's bumping?



You: Bumping is posting in a topic after the discussion is over. Posting in said topic causes it to appear at the top of the list, hence the name "bump".

Remember that not everybody is experienced with forums. They might not know that they're doing anything wrong. You never know what they will turn out to be. Seeing how LogicalGamers was the first forum I have ever signed up for I had no clue what was going on. I ended up going through the junk yard and bumping a bunch of old topics. Our goal is to make LG a friendly and welcoming environment for the next generation of posters, not discourage them.






*The exception to this rule are spam bots. We will ban them on sight without warning.

I understand the first and third changes, and the idea behind the second one, but wouldn't it be more fair if instead of wiping all the LG, just divided the amount by 1000 or 10000, that way, those who have sold stuff for LG wouldn't feel they just threw it away...

The reason you're not getting accepted is because you keep submitting the same application. Take a look at your 4th and 5th application. You have exactly the same contributions listed. You'll be accepted when you add more contributions!

I think the Rules should remain the same. Not everyone that is new even reads them. Probably not even half of the active users of LG read them. Users just need to be less 'bitchy' if you know what I mean.

I agree with these changes...Gold never meant much anyway. Maybe just scrap the system for good? I haven't been on lately either because of:
1. Exams
2. Working on art portfolio
3. Laziness

They could also refer people for more gold. Isn't it 10k per referral.

how about, instead of limiting our currency, we start fresh and make that "100g a post if you post here" thing, and every other post is 10g.

How about instead of a wipe of LGG you do a exchange, something like every 100k = 1k or 10k so that the people who have earned their gold still have relatively the same amount.

i would say that just dividing the gold by whatever amounts we could , or you guys could agree on, and keep the levels somewhat the same for the people who have earned them. i doesnt wanna be stripped of mah brawnze though D:

I support a full LGG reset. While there may be some people who have legitimately earned it, a ton of the LGG in circulation was exploited and traded off quickly for a gaia account or something before the offending account was banned. It would be hard to see who falls under that category, and the market would stay just as unstable, with 75% of the lgg held by the top 5 members.

Oh yes, because teh gold that Gamefreak or wahtever his name was, the error on the games, totally shows 75% of the gold on my account. Very true. I worked hard to scam it off LG. Bullshit...

And I can promise you, the LGG will end up at the same damn place it is now, if any of us care enough to add our Gaia shit for LG gold, again. But in reality, this is a fucking stupid idea, you have yet to tell me why it needs reset. Because there's too much LG in circulation? Well, we earned it. Why take something we worked for away from us, just to keep your satisfied fucked up what LGG should be worth ideas. They're useless. Leave the fucking gold alone.

Real world example.
You have 50 cents, chad has ten cents, and I have a penny.
Pebbles are worth a penny apiece.
So let's divide everyones pennies by ten, we are just too rich.
Because of the sudden deflation, you can now get ten pebbles for a penny.
So you have 5 cents... still worth 50 pebbles.
Chad has a penny. 10 pebbles.
I have 1/10th of a penny. 1 pebble.

What did we accomplish here? Nothing, except less pennies to jingle around. No actual value lost.

Not my fault everyone sold me their gold. Not my fault I earned it. Chad earned his, Google earned his, I earned mine, we all SPENT shit to get what we have now. We didn't give it away, if you delete the LGG, it's the same as us giving the shit we SOLD away. The LGG still has USD value, but as normal, no one wants to buy it. Why the fuck would they? What can they get, beneficially, with LG gold? Say they buy $10's worth, which is say... 2mil LG, 2mil LG = 20mil Gaia, they CAN make their money off of it, they just don't have a reason to buy LG gold because... it's not even for sale...

Sure, your "pebbles and pennies" shit works in your example, but think of it this way. Welcome to fucking life. Me, Google, and Chad are the millionares, you are the poor sob's, welcome to life, that's the way the shit is.

This is logicalgamers boo, not idiot gamers. The lgg you hold right now has no value, yet you still hold on to it like a selfish child.
Also, this is the internet, not real life. Everything can be reset at the press of a button with no regards to you and no repercussions.
