+Rep :P
I would like +Rep to be back like in the olde LG :) Rep+ Would be a good chance to prove who contributes, And who is the most loyal to LG :P
#2
People would rep abuse, its better now than it was back then. Word of mouth is good, if you cant remember who contributes you should get checked :)
#3
what Bman said. There is no point unless it is being heavily moderated and controlled by the staff. No point. Maybe Alex will put it back on the site. Its up to him.
#4
Can we please stop having these threads? Back in the day, rep was abused badly so theres no need to introduce that again.
#5
contrary, there is a need, but there has to be limits on it, hence no point. a thanks button would be much easier. you can take away your thanks if it doesn't actually help.
#6
I do think that it is needed. If users start to abuse it than get more active staff! Soul , Torian, and Google are perfect staff. If we could get more staff like them than the rep system and the whole forum could easily be kept under control and the users could enjoy more privileges.
#7
No point needed... if you need to trust someone, look at their iTrader... More reliable than the Rep ever was...
#8
thats not always true, iTrader is not always the best way, not everyone trades and therefore not everyone has a high iTrader. There are many ways to see how someone is trust worthy, not just iTrader or Rep.

No shit, but most people at first glance, if their iTrader is in the shitter, they should have enough common sense not to trust a program they just "made" that will change their world...

I'm not saying that iTrader is 100%, I'm saying it's better than Rep... an abuse only situation...

all things can be abused and misleading. there are so many ways around the abuse in the systems. iTrader, Rep, anything like this can be abused. And usually is. And now iTrader has been disabled for the mean time, as has LGG.

Now is a time to see who is truely trustworthy. Be optimistic.

Everything is made as an idea it's perfect, but is abused. I'm not saying iTrader isn't, neither was LGgold. Still don't get why LG gold hasn't came back yet...

LGG is up for some pretty big projects. a lot of developments for LGG are coming soon.

And everything gets abused. anything that will show that someone is trustworthy is easily and abused often.

Oh yes, and who is going to sit and read every damn reason for +Rep, and who is going to check to see if they're all true?

That is what the mods/Smods are for. Its our job to make sure people are toeing the line. If it were put back up, it would be our job to make sure its not being abused. Which I have no problem doing, but that just tedious.

Easier to monitor something that isn't there, then something that is.

Very Socrates/Plato of you. but lets just face it that having something to show worthiness is a good idea. we just need to come up with an idea. but rep and even iTrader isn't worth the trouble. but reguardless something is needed.

A decent new contest... Doesn't have to be NEAR as big as it was last time, just more organized...

For instance, I do believe it went over for what, a half a month longer than it was suppose to?

System wise... we need more members to have ANY update worth wild...

I have no arguement that new members are needed in liue of any update. And we need them, and believe it or not, activity is up. Which is a good thing.

Contests. I dont know. Gotta ask Alex.

For a mod you say "Ask Alex" or something along the lines of that way to much.

Maybe because I'm not a fucking admin. I'm a super mod. all i have the power to do is control the masses. Alex, Torian, and Plobby have all of the power to decide on LG. They make the decisions, not me or Google. We just follow orders and try and help them.

There's no reason to get defensive over someone trying to be Defy...

Just laugh at all the people who think you're an admin. They're just fucking morons.

Hey Michael, if you were admin(which you never will be), please tell me the code you'd put in to make that idea work, kthx. Don't talk shit unless you can back shit up.

This would have helped for my case.

Not if someone truly did hack Mr. Blue. I've traded several times successfully with him in the past.

tl;dr the whole thread.

However, here's what I've been thinking of. I honestly think it'd be a greater idea if we implement a "Thanks" system, where people can post "thanks" on posts that they deem worthy. The list of people who said "Thanks" would appear under that post, you could only give thanks to a user every 'x' minutes, and the total amount of thanks you have received would appear under your amount of posts. :) I'll be contacting Artificial about this soon.
