Do you guys think there will be a new gen coming out, or do you think it will end after HeartGold and SoulSilver are released?

Of course there will be. Pokemon is their biggest franchise, and they've been milking it since everything after Gold. I can only hope they'll make a 3d game. They have plenty of 3d almost-games. They just need one that can support itself - having the story and what-not that the portable games have. I really don't know why that haven't done that yet. Surely the portable games will continue. The series started that way, and it will continue that way. I just assume there will be a 3d game soon. No doubt in my mind, however, that another portable game will come out.

There will always be new pokemon as long as little kids will buy the product and since the market is still booming I'd imagine it won't be long before there are another hundred or so that are even worse than the last batch.
Love the originals mind you, I can even stomach the second gen.

They Will make more after heartgold and soulsilver. Its how they have always been. But I like all the pokemon games so I'm happy.

pokemon is just getting old. the whole story is exactly the same. all this soul-silver and heart gold is just an excuse to pump out more merchandise and fund an overrated children's show that should have ended years ago just out of being decent, but it has continued. i cant even play the games anymore just because it is 100% the same.

I agree with Souleater. It's an overated game with the same story for pretty much all of the games in the Pokemon games. It's just that with a new gen they have different pokemon. It gets extremely boring...

I find the games quite fun.
Probably the rp aspect of it.
I hope they come out with a 3D game with wide roam, like being able to play as the pkmn trainer through all the regions, but nintendo is lazy and their owner is an idiot.

No lie. A lot of it is shit that doesn't even make sense. I mean, Magnemite was first gen, and he didn't even make sense. Then you get into just noses and mimics of old Pokemon and lame-ass names. It's just gone on way too fucking long. You can just look at them now and tell that they were out of ideas.

It's literally the same game with some new pokemon.
Although I wish it was more interactive. I remember like an episode where Onix was making a cyclone or some shit and Ash was like "Shit wtf, we're screwed." Then Charmander breathed and lit that cyclone on fire and etc. I want more scenes of pwning in there and more ways then just pressing "Firethrower" and hoping it damages the pokemon.
Plus you never die. You and your pokemon faint and comeback to life. Therefore pokemon shall never die.

i think they will, just for the cash. but also, i hope they come out with another game like Pokemon Colosseum. that game was boss i still play it(its for gamecube). and I agree it is the same game but with more pokemon. i wish they came out with a new game with classic pokemon.

I never liked pokemon after gold and silver like when the first game came out I thoght it was awesome! then gold and silver came out and it said more pokemon have been descovered like wtf they just ''deicovered'' randomly another 100 common pokemon made no sence at all to me....the show went downhill after the first season to just started to become nonsence

8 Seasons of anime and still goes on... takes a long time before least anime seems to be ending... its like they give ash a new girlfriend every few seasons

They'll just keep milking it. There will always be little children to buy into it. What I hate is that every game they basically get rid of the previous, better, generation. And it's the same. Soooo repetitive. They need to make an actual online game for it. Like all official and stuff.
