In 99.9% of Christian faiths Jesus and God are the same person/thing, never separated. It's not remotely the same as mentioning Mary. Mary was a human being. Jesus was literally God being god and human, while also being God externally to himself, and the Holy Spirit. They are the same thing at the same time, everywhere. Rule one of it is that you can't understand it. It's fair to bring up Jesus if you operate under Christian world view. Just like it's fair to say Krishna incarnated and was human under a Hindu view, which if any one god of the Hindu faith did something, they all did cause they are all actually one god, that is also everything else too.
