Is it a day to celebrate the birth of a religious figure? Or is it a commercialized, over-hyped shopping gimmick? Or anything else you can think of...
I think Christmas is a holiday with it's base fundamentals magnified. Gift giving is alright, but huge amounts of gifts, to everyone and anyone you can think of no less, is unnecessary. Most people spend time just getting whatever the hell they think will keep that other person entertained rather than actually considering what would actually make that person happy. They make up for that lack of insight by quantity, not quality. Your thoughts?

I view Christmas as a knock-off of the Pagan holiday of Yule. Almost everything that is in Christmas was in Yule, and Yule is more than 2ooo years older than Christmas. All of the small little things are the things that were stolen and molded into another version of a holiday that was brought about by another religion, is messed up.
All Christmas is Yule that has been Christianized by the Christian and Catholic Church.Voted Hottest Male Member

Celebration of the birth of Christ fused with pagan ritual that symbolize and basically celibates the good that each of us is capable of and the shared desire for peace and brotherhood. A time to come together, regardless of race, religion, or creed.
I fail to see how people are so blind that they feel it infringes on their religion right, but the way they deal with has begun to infringe on mine.
I've become some what bitter about it and any fool that says Happy Holidays to me usually gets a f' you its merry Christmas, deal with it.
