In the last few weeks it was uncovered that three tabloids in the UK had hacked phones of missing persons, people of interest, ect. The public was of course outraged and the story has gone around the world. The tabloids are part of News Corp. This is a media company owned by one of the most powerful and richest men in the world, Rupert Murdock. Since the scandal Murdock has been summoned to the house of commons to be questioned. Murdock resides in the US most of the time. Government and media outlets in the US are calling for investigation here in the US as well
Rupert Murdock, owns countless media outlets not limited to print, tv, tabloid, and record labels but also web. He controls a large portion of the global media in Europe, the US, and has been expanding in Asia and Latin spheres. He is a marked competitor of numerous other media conglomerates.
Do you feel he should be dragged into the investigation or that investigations of News Corps as a whole is warranted? Is it believable that the owner of a vast media empire knows the exact goings on of three tabloids?
