In the last few weeks it was uncovered that three tabloids in the UK had hacked phones of missing persons, people of interest, ect. The public was of course outraged and the story has gone around the world. The tabloids are part of News Corp. This is a media company owned by one of the most powerful and richest men in the world, Rupert Murdock. Since the scandal Murdock has been summoned to the house of commons to be questioned. Murdock resides in the US most of the time. Government and media outlets in the US are calling for investigation here in the US as well
Rupert Murdock, owns countless media outlets not limited to print, tv, tabloid, and record labels but also web. He controls a large portion of the global media in Europe, the US, and has been expanding in Asia and Latin spheres. He is a marked competitor of numerous other media conglomerates.
Do you feel he should be dragged into the investigation or that investigations of News Corps as a whole is warranted? Is it believable that the owner of a vast media empire knows the exact goings on of three tabloids?

Those tabloids have been axed now as well. News of The World has been going on for 150 years until the phone hacking scandals. Isn't Murdoch going to purchase bSkyb? And I know that our prime minister is doing something about it but I haven't really given two shits about this. Our government is corrupt and the whole country itself is fucked.

Why not investigate the whole business? If he owns as much as it says, something else is bound to be going somewhere in the corporation too.

Not to mention it gets even more suspicious with the guy who brought it to light being found dead.
A bit sad however.
Quite honestly I'm surprised other news networks haven't been doing this before, and I wouldn't doubt that some do.
