Okay well, seems to be a whole ps3 hacking trend going on, Anonymous isn't the whole group apparently. There are fucking hacking "cats"
Black Panthers (I believe they're named) - Will hack psn, take yo' shit. And yeah mess with it and what not.
White Panthers - They stop the Black Panthers. BAHAHA.
And we got the Gay Panthers - Inbetween both White and Black Panthers.
Is this fake, or is this real? Personally I think it's somewhat true, just they're all just some 36 year old douches who hasn't went through puberty and live in their mothers basement jtagging something that has buttons on it.

I know a guy who hacked into PSN. He is one of the many. He sells the stolen personal information like credit cards, paypals, and addresses n stuff.

It's true it wasn't Anonymous there was a cyber attack in San Diego California and the hacker stole 70 million accounts information as in passwords credit card info etc. They have updated their security and made it better so hopefully this kind of thing won't happen again.

Er, I've heard about whitehat, blackhat and greyhat hackers, but not about panthers? LOL.
If this is true, it's clearly just a spin-off of that.
The system went something like this:
White hat hackers: All about ethics, hacks strictly for uh.. just purposes? Not ENTIRELY sure how that works..
Grey hats: Stuck between white and black, they have some regard for ethics, they're not just going to hack anybody, but if you pissed one off badly enough or if you had something they wanted they might.
Black hats: They don't care about ethics. Basically they'll hack just to see you cry.
Should ask Sothe about it I guess, he's more familiar with this stuff.
Dunno where you heard that they were being called panthers, but it sounds to me like whoever was calling them panthers was maybe just poking fun at 'em.
Sounds more fitting to me anyway.
But this isn't just PSN related, I think this is hacking in general.
Sloppy post is sloppy.

The whole panther shit is probably copy/pasted from some furfags blog, you should be ashamed for taking those "things" seriously.
Anonymous probably didn't hack PSN. The hackers set that up to divert attention, which is actually a great idea. They're probably just a bunch of Geohot fanboys.

If they are smart they won't go posting around the internet about what they did.
Were talking tons of personal information that's already been taken.
Not a couple Gaia accounts.
