After recent shooting at other high schools, my school is enforcing a rule which is what i think is unnecessary. You can't even joke about anything relating to harming someone. They will still suspend you and possible expulsion.
For example, the most recent was when one of my friend started a rumor about someone having a gun at school. The school went into a quick lockdown and SWAT arrived. Another time, a freshman joked about bringing a gun to school and shoot his friend. Both are in my class. Everyone in the class knew they were joking, including the teacher. But somehow the admins found out and the freshman had police searching his house and he was suspended for 5 days.

These are the consequences.
-If caught/heard/etc (even joking), teachers are require to call security or send the student out.
-Five day suspension and/or referral for expulsion.

What do you guys think of this? Does you school do something similar?
