I wish I had the picture that explains the differences between the two perfectly. In short, it's about their personality. Dogs give respect where respect is due.

I love both.

At home, I have two rottweilers and three cats. Plus, I have four fish, a gecko, and (temporarily) a northern brown snake. The snake was found not long ago inside the building where my mom works. It's a wild animal, but we were afraid it was too late in the year to let it go outside, since the weather is already very cold and we didn't know if it could hibernate successfully if returned in the fall. It's a tiny little thing, only about 7" long and it eats small earthworms. I'm keeping it over the winter and letting it go in the spring. It's a very curious little critter, not afraid of people as long as no one tries touching or messing with it.

Two, I've grown up with cats my entire life, and they don't take up much space.

I'm partial to rabbits. My fiance and I have two that run around the house all day, jump up on the couch, and follow us all over the house.

Between cats and dogs, however, I prefer dogs. While I have grown up with both, I find that dogs are more obedient and I love how playful they are. I'm more of a "big dog" person.

I disagree. :/ Depending on the personality of the cat, they can differ. For example, the Bengal cat sleeps just one to two hours more than the average human, and the rest of the time it is very loving, so they tend to act like dogs--the love when their owners are home, and are very playful.

Besides, when you DO get home, the dog just drowns you in saliva. >.<

Because Jack is single handedly the greatest cat ever to have lived;
seriously, ask Seffy / Euphoria / Rayne.

He's all, meow - i love you, but i'd love you more if you gave me milk.
And then BOOOOM he's had the milk and he's going CRAZY.

ANNNNDDD if that's not enough,
he eats peas.
Uses his teeth to break the casing, eats the 2 halves of the pea, then leaves the casing.
It's sooooo fucking awesome.

Also; on the whole god thing (:
I think it's kind of cute that cats are egotistical.
I very much doubt jack thinks he's god however,
he sits in our front windowsil (we got this wierd pokey out bit hovering randomly with 3 windows on it? porchy thing for windows) and he'll just wait for my to come home (:
Awwhhh it's so cute, then i feed him - and give him the jack milk *Whiskers own brand cat milk* and he's slurps it up.
