How many of you could vote? How Many did vote? How do you feel about a GOP controlled house and senate where the dems. lack a real majority and can do nothing as a result? How do you feel about having multiple state governments being taken over not only by conservative candidates but right of center candidates? How many of you didn't know there was an election? How many of you knew any thing about the election and local candidates?

Midterm Election
- 05 Nov. 2010 08:29pm #2
I live in TN, a place where most people side with the GOP, and on Wednesday in my A.P. History class most of them were like, "Yay, GOP gained control" and I said "Yay, nothing will get accomplished for another 2 years"
Conversation went into further debate, but yeah that was the jest of it.

I want nothing done for the next two years and I want the last two undone. I have no love for the liberal agenda, I don't much like the conservative either but the one that lets me chose what to do with my money will always have my support. I don't have to deal with Obama and Pelosi ramming socialist liberal legislation down my throat forcing me to pay for your health care, have trry about continued bailouts, and will get the extension of the Bush tax cuts. Stuff will get done. Just not democrat stuff. The house will now only produce republican bills, the dems being the weak kneed fellows they are will give the GOP exactly what they want and even if it goes wrong the people will blame Obama. I'm honestly excitedly waiting for impeachment trials in the house, I know he won't be removed but I expect them to impeach him. (remove and impeach not being the same). Obama and his liberal congress represent all I despise and hate in government, namely the expansion there of. Government should exist in the smallest possible form and let the market decide as much as possible. It should do very limited things in both economic and social issues and Obama's got his hands all up in my money and societal opinions.
while the tea party represents a insane and extreme right agenda they're the only people that will actually repeal Obamacare so I'm eager to see them evolve and move forward at least until I see Obama undone. Granted there is about to be a major party realignment and its most likely that the democrats and up disappearing and being replaced now since the republicans are adapting via the tea party, it'll be interesting to see on what side of the line I am after the collapse.

Well, I'm glad some cancer patient doesn't have to lose their home to pay for their next chemo treatment, and I won't mind paying for it.
But I honestly don't want to see the Bush Tax cuts extended as is.
