We all know that spending money on virtual cash like Gaia cash, Zen, and for special memberships is basically lighting money on fire.
However it's something some of us just can't resist doing so we can be l33t players.
Is it possible to become one of the best without spending our hard earned cash?
Or do we need to blow $20.00 so we can become the greatest player ever.
My own view on the matter is split.
I wouldn't mind spending 5-10 dollars once or twice so I could get some weapons and mounts or a permanent membership.
But spending $25 monthly so that I could play a game like WOW or Runescape seems a little ridiculous.
What's you view?
Is it worth it to spend $1,000.00 on a hacked angelic halo so you can get banned?
Or would you like to vend for 5 years so you could barely afford one?
(This could be about any sites, such as perfect world, gaia, runescape, or world of warcraft)

I wouldn't spend over $50 on gaia, but in the past I've spent about $300 on gaia cash. The truth is if you have the money you can make it happen. I only refer to gaia, because it's what I'm familiar with it but with vending a rare item like that gaia can still ban you..so your taking your own risk at a quest nearly impossible.

Scrubs, not sure I got the last sentence, but I understood everything before that (no offense >_<)
It's true that if you can piss money away like it's dirt, then go ahead and do so.
It'll stimulate the economy ;P
I'm also guilty of spending around $120.00 on gaia when I was legit.

Lol, basically I was saying it's not likely to get a.halo by vending... even if ya did gaia can still ban you. If you can spend 5 yrs on a website why not invest?

If I can play the game for free, I ain't spending a dime on it. I will do a survey or two, but that's it.
Spoiler:The surveys aren't even worth the time you spend on them.

Spending too much cash just to become gosu on an online game is, IMO, not worth all that much, unless you can do it legitly (or illegitly in secure fashion) and get a good deal out of it.
In my powerleveling days I made thousands of dollars selling fresh WoW 60s and 70s. But that was only a sideline, in any case. Most of my online trading money was secured by selling currencies. Especially Gaya gold.My contributions:

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.
- 26 Aug. 2010 10:39am #7I've never spent money on any pet/avatar games so far.
And I don't intend to start because I'm broke..
Broke in all terms of the word except physically. lol.
I can understand the people that do.. If they're rich..
Or just have it to blow.. Why not? Ya know?
I think if I had it, and I could afford to waste money.. I might.
But then again, why not put that money into an Xbox game..
Something that you can actually have physically infront of you.
I guess there's pros and cons to both. -Shrug-

The money you spend can be earned back. The time you spend can't.
The time you spend making money on your job can get you more uber loot than than the time you spend actually grinding for the uber loot. Just for working on minimum wage for a month can net you over $1000(before taxes). That's already a lot of whatever virtual cash you want. In the meantime, you can sleep more and actually have some fresh air.
