I'm so seriously bored and depressed lately
Its summer and it seems like there is nothing to do, all my friends are working all the time, and the friends who aren't just want to get high all the time and drink, its like no one wants to do anything anymore
I've pretty much exhausted all I can do online without being bored out of my skull; I have seen a ton of movies but my spouse never wants to watch movies with me because he is lame like that; also he doesn't like to meet new people/ friends which kinda limits my friends to the ones I already have that can stand him since I don't like to do things alone.
Can anyone think of a hobby I should take up? I have to mention I live in a small town where there is jack shit to do and go shopping all the time at the small mall we have.
I also have a gambling problem, so I'm trying to steer clear of any casinos or things like.

I am in a very similar boat buddy
I am bored with just about everything, and conflicting schedules/lack of people makes it worse.
I'm pretty sure you said you don't like reading before, so lets skip that. Have you tried outdoors kinda things, I know i feel better after a ncie bike ride or kayak and such. Being outside seems to brighten moods, even fishing makes me happy, catching fish or not it is just nice to be outside. Maybe even camping, or hiking, something to get moving. I know I wish I did more of all of those things. Even now bored and mopey they make me happier just in thought. Maybe you could try building things? there are some cool DIY youtube channels for silly things to build like potato cannons and smoke bombs and such, its always good to get that mind working

I don't like reading at all your right. XD my philosophy is that if its fiction, I might as well just sleep because 9/10 my dreams are way better then any book I have ever read.
I haven't rode a bike since I was like 11 and I was hit by a car which caused me to skip like a stone on my back across the asphalt before finally slamming my back into the curb, this of course sent me to the hospital and I have been weary of riding since.
As far as kayaking goes, there's not really any bodies of water around here I would trust to kayak in, I would like to try it one day though because I have gone boating several times, and have canoed. I walk/hike constantly the fact I have any fat on my body (albeit a surplus) is in fact mind boggling, I walk at least 1 hour a day sometimes upto 8 hours just walking around at the mall, or in the wilderness or just down the street.
I might actually go camping this summer, I used to be in scouts and camping was always something fun to do.
As far as crafting something, I actually traded a fork and knife set (its like really old and medieval styled) my friend wants it for eating utensils for his medieval reenactment society and he traded me a big bag of jump ringds for making chainmaille, so I might start doing chainmaille as a time waster, or as he calls it knitting for men.
Even so, gah, I feel like I need to be doing something with my life.
