iPhone app for fresher students

There is a class at the university in town that require you to have an iphone to be in them.
They don't supply it either you have to buy one ad get it on a service then buy like a dozen apps. Technology is getting ridiculous.

Wow that would be helpful but youd think they might have to supply it or something i meen thats alot of money comeing out of your pocket plus the money you alredy have to pay....
