I personally like my laptop because it's portable and I tend to move around a lot for "Reasons".
I agree, the Desktop is more better for Games, Memory, and CPU.
What do you think is better? I go with laptop.

Laptop vs Desktop
- 17 Apr. 2010 06:10am #2
All boils down to what you use the computer for. For me? Laptop.

Desktop, If you want true raw power to your very own customizable needs, that's definitely the way to go.
- 17 Apr. 2010 06:16am #4
Laptop because they are small and easy for traveling.

Laptop or bust, but nothing (IMO) comes close to matching my homemade custom rig. The only part I couldn't get off the shelf was the tower, because it's a custom job with a forest skin.

For all the stuff that happens around here, LG itself is always remarkably unchanged. Thanks to the folks who still remembered I was once here and welcomed me back despite me being retarded.

Desktops allows for more power but if you are willing to put that extra bit of money into it, you can have a laptop that is as powerful as most peoples' desktops. Of course you now have to deal with like 15lbs of machine.
- 17 Apr. 2010 02:26pm #10Depends entirely on the circumstances.
For me and my situation, I enjoy my Laptop greatly.

Personally I like my laptop for drawing, and the fact I can take it anywhere. I hate playing games on a laptop though. D; So desktop is better for that, at least to me.
All hail kitty pig.

I like both, but if I had to choose one I would have to say, Laptop (Portability beats Speed).

Desktop, I have a laptop but I have to charge it like every 6 or 7 hours.
But yeah, the laptop is pretty nice.
But I do like to spend a lot of time on the computer sometimes more than my laptop battery usage..
Desktop ftw?

Desktop all the way. I dislike laptops unless it's for school and on-the-go checking mail. They're personally annoying, and boil down to the equivalence of a giraffe abortion.
unless it's a mac. Then it's only really good for a replacement pizza box☜(* x *)☞FOOL ON COOL GENERATION

I have a macbook, two pc laptops and one hp laptop and a custom desktop that I made for gaming then I bought a 20 inch touchscreen last month and so far my 20 inch touchscreen desktop is gonna be my favorite, it has a shitload of memory, no tower, TOUCHSCREEN, and it's all out kick ass.

I think laptops are good if your the traveling type of person. I'm not, so I choose a desktop. Also because I never really have to charge it. c: <3

I think laptops was more better than desktop because you cannot be hooked up in desktops wires o.O

Thinking about my earlier post, I'd say that I like laptops better because like you said, they are portable, and of course you could just use a wireless mouse. ^^
It's kind of like a journal, if you're carrying it around with you, and you want to remember something so you won't forget it later, open up your laptop and jot it down. xDD

I prefer my Desktop because of its better performance, and I don't go on many trips.
However I am thinking of switching to laptop simply because it is easier to find a place to put it and I don't do any hardcore gaming on the PC.

desktoppp c:
I haven't had my own laptop, but when i do go on one for whatever reason i don't really like it much. Moving around on the pad thing bothers my fingers probably since i'm used to a mouse but yeah. as far as for games. Whenever i tried playing games on laptops they lag & it wasn't much fun.
